Clearance

This afternoon we cleared away the jellied map.  Much of it was deliquescing creating stagnant puddles.  In some areas instead of turning to liquid the jelly had shrunk - roads pulled apart and holes formed exposing the layer underneath.

The sweet fruity smell had been replaced with something rather unpleasant.  There was certainly none of the delight we had felt in plunging our hands into, under and through the fresh jelly blanket as we cleared up at Bartle Hall last Wednesday.

I was grateful that the material had been given the opportunity to show what it can do and express; not just jolly jelly japes but also . . . . . .
